Bearing The Fruit of Love

The Grove Youth

"The Grove" exists to disciple young people in the teachings of Christ to glorify God and enjoy him forever in all that they do (1 Cor. 10:31)

Specifically, this looks like four things primarily: (Acts 2-4)

1. The exposition of Scripture

2. Prayer

3. Fellowship

4. Sacrificial living

The Word of God, the Bible, is central and serves as the heartbeat of what we do. Reading Scripture and explaining it in such a way that it is contextualized and understandable to the millennial generation is the goal. Most of our time is spent doing this.

Prayer, the conversation we have with God, is the application of what we learn from his word, the speaking back to God what we have felt in response to what he has spoken. Every student requests help on behalf of themselves or someone in their lives, and they pray on behalf of one another.

Fellowship is the friendship built around the common vision of living out the teachings of Jesus. The goal is building up one another in love so that real, warm friendships develop that spur each other on to live righteously and to flourish. This happens organically through life together and events like bonfires, lock ins, and other communal events.

Sacrificial living is the attitude or posture of treating others as one would want to be treated. From a volunteering project, a donated gift, or a homework study session, every platform is an opportunity to live sacrificially and to give oneself for the benefit of others as Jesus did.

I would love to hear from you!
I aim to be available as a servant to the families of our church.
